Anyone with an iPhone, Droid or Windows mobile phone will have the ability to check road conditions throughout Kansas this winter.
KDOT has launched a free mobile application that offers weather alerts as well as road conditions. You can download the app for free at:
The free application provides users with map, camera and electronic sign views, as well as information concerning road conditions, work zones and other weather-related events. Miller cautioned people not to use the application while driving.
Access to road conditions through text will still be available for mobile phones that do not offer application service.
