Arizona-style immigration law coming to Kansas?

According to the Associated Press, Kansas House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lance Kizer he’s drafting an immigration bill.

The Republican from Olathe said the bill would direct law enforcement to check the status of anyone reasonably suspicious of being in the country illegally.

The Arizona law created a national firestorm when it was adopted in Arizona last year.

Kinzer also stated that he was working with Secretary of State Kris Kobach on the bill. Kobach is well known to have been a major contributor to the Arizona law.
