LINSDBORG, KAN. —Sandzén: Ecstasy of Color, a documentary about the Swedish-American artist Birger Sandzén, will be shown at Bethany College in Lindquist Hall on April 17 at 1 p.m. The documentary was produced by Colorado Public Television. Director Joshua Hassel will discuss the film and answer questions at the showing.

Sandzén came to Bethany College in 1894, where he became the director of the art school in 1899 until he retired in 1946. Sandzén is known for watercolors, prints, and landscapes colorfully painted with thick brush strokes.
