Expanded Intercity Bus Route Connects

Travel from Belleville to Salina – with stops in Concordia and Minneapolis – easily and efficiently thanks to an expanded OCCK transportation program. The Intercity Fixed Route program provides twice daily, round-trip service to the general public with no eligibility requirements.

Passengers can catch the OCCK bus at fixed stops in Belleville, Concordia, and Minneapolis and then travel to and from Salina. The convenient service can be used for medical appointments, professional services, employment, or weekday shopping trips.

Once in Salina, passengers will be delivered to their destination or can utilize the CityGo fixed route service to navigate the community easily.
“We’ve responded to the requests of the residents in these areas, who have indicated the need for daily, dependable, and affordable bus service to Salina,” said Patrick Wallerius, VP/CFO. “We think it will be very successful.”

The Intercity service will make two round trips daily, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pick-up and drop-off is available at these locations: Casey’s General Store, 1305 28th St. in Belleville; OCCK Regional Office, 1502 Lincoln St. in Concordia; the junction of Highways 81 and 24 between Concordia and Minneapolis; and Dollar General, 835 Laurel St. in Minneapolis.

Advance notice of 24 hours is appreciated when scheduling a ride. Call 1-855-KSRIDES (1-855-577-4337) for available times, more information, or to schedule a ride. Pick-ups in Belleville will only be made with advance notice.

Passengers will be charged 10 cents per mile per ride for the service. The ride is free if the passenger’s destination is one of the seven Salina Regional Health Center facilities in Salina. A round-trip Belleville to Salina route is estimated to cost $14. Children 10 and under ride free when accompanied by an adult.
