SALINA, Kan. (AP) — Gov. Sam Brownback heads to Salina later this month to attend a forum on disaster response hosted by the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department.
The Salina Journal reports that Brownback will kick off the fourth annual Business and Industry Forum for Disaster Response and Recovery, scheduled for May 25 and 26 in Salina.
The forum is designed to promote coordination of the public and private sectors in responding to disasters.
The event will include a panel discussion on cyber-threats and security, as well as an exercise involving interdependency and supply chain issues during a disaster.
