Salina area home sales dropped by 28.3% for April compared to the same time period last year, April 2010.

Home sales totaled 61 units in April 2011 compared to 85 for April 2010. The average sales price for April 2011 was $107,462 as compared to
April 2010 of $113,761

Judy Mitchell, 2011 Salina Multiple Listing President, reports the year to date sales for January 1 to April 30, 2011 was down 12.8% compared to this same period in 2010. The average sales price of a home for this period in 2011 is $117,521 compared to $114,991 for 2010. Judy comments that the interest rates are still very good.
