SALINA, Kan. (AP) – The managing director of the Land Institute in Salina is stepping down after 16 years.
Ken Warren assumed the role when the institute that works to develop environmentally friendly agriculture had a budget of about $500,000. Now, the institute’s budget is closer to $2.3 million.
Warren tells The Salina Journal he’s enjoyed his years at the institute, witnessing what he calls great growth in the research its staff performs.
He’ll be replaced as managing director by former Salina Journal executive editor Scott Seirer.
