A 28-year-old Salina man arrested early Monday morning on 2 counts of rape.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says Eric Taylor of 505 N 13th is alleged to have sexual relations with a grade school aged girl twice in May.

Police were notified of the case after a friend of the girl told the girls mom.

Taylor is an aquaintance of the girl.

Sweeney says one of sexual encounters took place at a storage facility on N. Broadway.
