Sheriffs Deputies end “graduation” party early Monday morning

Eight teens charged with minors in consumption of alcohol after a complaint of a loud party in the south part of Saline County brings sheriffs deputies that shuts the party down.

Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says when deputies arrived at 1064 E Lapsley Road a little after midnight Monday morning, several persons ran into a Morton building and locked themselves in, and would not let the deputies in.

After about 20 to 30 minutes, deputies were able to open a sliding drive through door just a bit and discharged three pepper pellets into the floor, that convinced those inside to come out.

Charged with minor in consumption were :

18 year old Dillon Fishel of 2140 Meadowbrook Lane, Salina

18 year old Joshua Diaz of 525 Moon ,Salina

19 year old Kirsti Huehl of 1064 E Lapsley Road ,Assaria

17 year old Austin Miller of 6796 S Tamara Lane, Assaria

18 year old Maya Dandu of 1332 E Minneapolis ,Salina

18 year old Jordan Poague of 909 Harold, Salina

17 year old Casey Magurie of 227 S 12th, Salina

18 year old Dylan Shomaker of 1012 N 7th, Salina

Shoemaker was also charged with with obstruction and unlawful for restraint for not allow deputies into the building.

Sheriff Kochanowski says further charges in the case could follow, after a review of the case from the Saline County Attorneys Office.
