Text Message Argument Leads To Arrest Of Eight People In Salina

Content of text messages have lead to the arrest of 8 people over the last couple of days in Salina.

7 were arrested early Monday afternoon after a fist fight broke out and one person threatened another with a tire iron . Police Captain Mike Sweeney says the officers were sent to the 1100 block of Armory Road about 12:30 p.m. to break up a fight.

The following people were arrested in connection to the fight:

* 19 year old Michael Eisenman, 245 S. Broadway #58, on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

* 43 year old Steven Blazier, 454 S. Broadway #136, on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

* 17 year old Dylan Park, 223 N. College, on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

* 20 year old Caleb Hidalgo, 454 S. Broadway # 144, on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

* 17 year old Lance Eisenman, 245 S. Broadway #58, on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

* 19 year old Myles Vaughn, 500 E. Claflin, on charges of hostile demonstration of a weapon, disorderly conduct, and driving while suspended

* 18 year old Tray Eisenman, 245 S. Broadway #52, on charges of possession of marijuana, and disorderly conduct.

Then, on Tuesday evening, a texting battle led to the arrest of an 18 year old on charges of aggravated battery, felony criminal damage to property, and obstructing the legal process. Salina Police were called to 305 E. Prescott #2 on the report of a fight. 20 year old Jamie L. Wood says she was inside her apartment when she heard loud noises outside and looked out and saw 18 year old Eternity Murray of 2265 Sherwood Lane, hitting her car with a softball bat. Wood confronted Murray, and Murray hit Wood with the bat, causing bruises to ribs and then scrapes to a knee when the two fell to the ground struggling with each other.

Murray got into a car and drove around a police patrol car that was blocking the drive of the parking of the apartment. She was stopped by another officer just a short time later. Damage to the car, including windows broken out and a dent to the hood, was estimated at $1,000.
