Kansans Flock to Lakes for Memorial Weekend

Memorial weekend is the traditional start to the lake season.

State parks and reservoir camp sites fill up, and Tommie Berger with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks says the bigger crowds can make holiday weekends more dangerous and everyone needs to take safety precautions.

AAA is estimating that nearly 35 million Americans will travel fifty miles or more this weekend.
