(Salina, Kan.) Since May of this year, citizens and visitors to Salina have been encouraged to take the “Tour” and vote for their favorite of eighteen works of art in downtown Salina. (One sculpture, Ad Astra, is excluded from the ballot as per the artist’s choice.)

With the deadline to vote quickly approaching, interested parties are encouraged to pick up a self-guided walking tour and People’s Choice Award Official Ballot at one of these downtown locations:

Completed ballots should be deposited in one of the six marked ballot boxes located near the mid-block pedestrian cross walks downtown.

The sculpture with the most votes, to be announced in January of 2012, will be purchased by the City of Salina with an award not to exceed $15,000. It will then be relocated to a permanent, fitting location in Salina.
