Beginning December 22nd amateur to professional photographers will have one month to “Get a Winter Wonderland Shot” and potentially win the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce photo contest.

The top three photographs that reflect the community and are mindful of the Chamber’s marketing message that Salina is a great place to live, work, and play will win Smoky Hill Silver gift certificates. First place: $50; Second place: $30; Third place: $20. The gift certificates are redeemable at over 1200 participating Salina Chamber member businesses.

Participants must submit the photo(s), electronically. Deadline for submitting entries is 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 23rd. All entries become the exclusive property the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, which retain the rights to unlimited use of entrant names and photos for, but not limited to, publicity, promotions and advertising purposes, without any compensation.

How to Submit:

1. Photo must be a .jpg or .png and may not exceed 3MB.

2. Send photo to email address cool77duck+private@photos.flickr.com

3. Email subject line will be the Title of the photo.

4. Email body will be the Description of the photo. Please include photographer’s name.

5. Please remove any other icons, photos or images from email besides entry photo(s) (i.e. within email signature).

6. Check out Visit Salina’s flickr account for accepted photo entries www.flickr.com/photos/visitsalina.

Contest Rules 1. There is no cost to enter.

2. The contest will run from Thursday, December 22, to January 23, 2012.

3. A completed, signed and dated contest entry form must accompany each entry.

4. Photographers may enter more than one image. Photos should be a minimum of 300 dpi.

Entries can be color or b&w. 5. Photos must be taken in the Salina, Kansas area. 6. Photo contest entrants are responsible for identifying and providing a signed release from each identifiable person in the photo.

Proof of release might be required prior to approval of photo contest entry.

7. The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected entries, miscommunications, misdirected transmissions, or errors of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic.

8. All entries become the exclusive property the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, which retain the rights to unlimited use of entrant names and photos for, but not limited to, publicity, promotions and advertising purposes, without any compensation. Entries will not be returned.

9. Chamber of Commerce staff will determine when it is appropriate to issue photo credits to the photographer/subject.

11. Prizes will be awarded only to entries that the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce contest judges deem worthy. Some prizes may not be awarded if no acceptable entries are received. All decisions are final.

12. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Salina Chamber of Commerce, as well as any directors, officers, employees or volunteers of the organization from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest.
