The Salina-Saline County Board of Health for the Salina-Saline County Health Department has elected Dr. Trent Davis, MD, as chairperson for 2012. Dr. Glen Engelland, DVM, was elected Vice-Chair; and Randy Duncan, County Commissioner, Treasurer.

Other members on the board include: Kaye Crawford and Barb Shirley, City Commissioners; John Reynolds, County Commissioner; Carol Groth, RN, District Nurse Representative; Janie Hazelwood, County-at-Large Representative; Heather Fuller, City-at-Large Representative; Dr. John Adams, DDS, Saline County Dental Representative; and Dr. Reese Baxter, MD, Saline County medical Society Representative.

The Board of Health meets the 4th Tuesday monthly at 4 PM at the Salina-Saline County Health Department, 125 W. Elm in Salina.

Outgoing board member, Charlie Grimwood, was honored for his more than 25 years of service and leadership on the Board of Health.
