STORY UPDATE:The Saline County Sheriffs Office says the man accused of sexually assaulting a woman from Fort Dodge Iowa on a bus west of Salina early Wednesday morning, has been released from jail. The Saline County Attorneys Office has decided not to file charges at the present time and an investigation continues in the case.

ORIGINAL: A California man is in the Saline County Jail after he allegedly sexual assaulted a 23-year-old woman on a bus early Wednesday morning on Interstate 70.
The Saline County Sheriffs Office was sent to the junction of I-70 and I-135 a little after 4am to the report of a sexual assault.
The woman from Fort Dodge, Iowa said she had been sitting next to a 62-year-old man from Campbell California, they had been talking when she said she had a pain in the area of her kidney. The man allegedly gave the woman a pain pill.
The woman fell asleep and when she woke up, she allegedly found one of her hands in man’s lap with the hand around his penis, and Ransom had one of his hands up the woman’s shirt.
She got up and contacted the driver, who stopped the bus and called authorities.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski would not say if deputies had recovered any type of pills from the man . He was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault.
