A 66-year-old Salina man is under observation at the hospital, after deputies found him with his leg pinned under the wheel of his SUV in a construction area late Wednesday night.

Marc Ryan had apparently gotten out of the vehicle on Waterwell Road east of Ohio for unknown reasons. Somehow, Ryan was knocked to the ground and the SUV rolled back on the lower part of his leg, and then stopped. Ryan told deputies that he had put the vehicle in park before getting out.

Ryan was cited for DUI, no proof of insurance, and driving around a barricade that limited travel in a construction area to only local traffic, not through traffic.
