Eagles Win Last Pool Play Game

After being outscored their first two games in the Kansas Grand Slam Tournament 19-2, the Salina Eagles paid some of that back in a big to Finney County in their last game of the day winning 16-5.

The game was tied 5-5 until Jacob Pengra hit in a run off a sacrifice fly putting the Eagles up by one run.  Salina would add four runs after that heading in the bottom of the sixth up 10-5.  Eagles weren’t done there, after putting the Bandits down in order the Eagles erupted for six runs in the top half of the seventh off of just two hits.

Salina Eagles finish Pool Play 1-2 and will start Bracket Play at 3:45 p.m.
