Lightning might have delayed the Salina Falcons game by nearly a hour and half, but their was no delay in their offensive production. The Falcons were back on the point against the Kansas Titans collecting 11 hits on to a 11-3 victory.
Taylor Bradley was the only offensive production early for the Falcons as he hit in the first three runs of the game; a sacrifice fly scored Chance Thomanson who had a lead off single in the first then came back in the third and two runs scored off a Bradley single making it 3-0.
Behind phenomenal pitching by Keenan Breen who held the Titans scoreless until the fifth inning, the Falcons were able to continue heading to the plate with the lead. They would had three more runs two coming off of doubles by Mark Vaughn and Jackson Rolfs and another scored on a error.
In the fifth the Titans trimmed the lead from 6-0 to 6-3 as they took advantage of a bases loaded situation, but Breen still pulled himself out with very little damage. The rest of the way was all Falcons with the big bats, Alexis Nevarez and Thomanson each had doubles which scored two runs.
The Falcons (19-5) now 2-1 in Pool Play will play 8:15 p.m. at James Matson Field. With a win the Falcons would secure the second seed out of Pool A and advance to Bracket Pool.
