Salina police will be looking for drivers under the influence on the evening of the fourth of July. Seven officers will conduct the IDDP checklane between 11:30 pm Wednesday and 2am Thursday, following the Skyfire fireworks display.

Lt. Russ Lamer said the area for the checklane has not been determined, but it will not be in the area of Markley Road where the Skyfire fireworks display takes place to avoid congestion in that area following the show.
