Millard North Beats Falcons Again

The Salina Falcons are most likely sick and tired of seeing Millard North.  After losing to Millard North 12-6 in last years Grand Slam Tournament Championship, they turned around to lose to them twice this year.  Once 9-1, being the Falcons first Pool Play loss and then in the Championship game again this year 2-0

Salina had the base runners, they had their chances, but four doubles in the first four innings kept the Falcons off the board and allowing Millard North to hold onto a 1-0 which was scored in the second inning.

Cody Houdesheld kept the Falcons quiet, but they stirred up some trouble in the top of the seventh.  Dalton Dooley reached on a opening single and Parker would reach on a single as well putting two on with no outs, but Blake Jones hitting into a double play ended the game with the Falcons short for the second straight year.

Salina Falcons 4 Hutchinson Cardinals 2

The Salina Falcons only needed five hits against Quinton Crandell and the Hutchinson Cardinals to win the Semifinal match up.  Salina would get their first two runs off past balls in the third inning and got their first burst of offense in the sixth and seventh innings.

Austin Parker would single and score Dooley who led off with a single and Mason Brightbill who had a opening double in the seventh inning scored off the Jackson Rolfs single.

The Falcons (20-6) will play at Dean Evans the next four double headers starting with McPherson July 5 first pitch at 6. p.m.
