ELLSWORTH — Fern L. Bledsoe, 74, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, July 28, 2012. She was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Hedville, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Mortimer) Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and son, Steven Webb.

Survivors include daughters, Donna (Robert) Graves and Sara (Roger) Tanuis; son, Charles (Deborah) Webb; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Webb; stepchildren, Sam Bledsoe and Shelly (Tom) Moreen; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; special grandchildren, Eli and Beth Johnson; friend, Don Webb; and brothers and sisters, Mary Laas, Jennie George, Elaine Bacon, Shirley Clanton, Betty Harden, Robert Armstrong, Kay Lebert, Joe Armstrong and Charlene Walker.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday Aug. 2, at First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth. Memorials may be made to the church. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.

CARLTON — David Ray Pantle, 56, of Carlton, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was born Aug. 15, 1955, in Lawrence to James W. and Carolyn Joyce (Meints) Pantle. In David’s spare time, he loved to read and follow KU’s basketball team.

He was preceded in death by his father and son-in-law, Dustin Stovall.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughters, Christen Stovall, of Salina, Chelsea (Mike) Penner, of Newton, and Rachel Pantle, of Lawrence; sons, David Pantle, of Salina, and Matthew Pantle, of Carlton; grandchildren, Zoe and Lexi Penner; mother, Carolyn Pantle; of Basehor; sisters, Susan (Jeff) Detwiler, of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Collene (Maurice) Dickinson, of Basehor; and brother, Jim (Sandy) Pantle, of Easton.

Visitation: 5:30-7 p.m. today, July 31, at All Saints Orthodox Church, Salina. Funeral service: 7 p.m., today, July 31, also at the church. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at All Saints Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
