Salina Bombers Add Two

The Salina Bombers are pleased to announce two roster additions for the 2013 roster.

Kenny Wilson is a native of Kansas where he attended Liberal High School and excelled in multiple sports. Kenny was a stand-out on the football field for the Redskins and also as a sprinter on the track team where he still holds the school record in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash. Wilson also holds the KSHSAA state record in Class 5A in the 200 meter dash. After graduating high school, Wilson attended Butler Community College in Eldorado, Kansas. As a running back Wilson earned All-American honors in 2004 and helped the Grizzlies to the National Championship game that season. From Butler, Wilson would transfer to the University of Nebraska where he would play running back for the Cornhuskers in 2007-2008. After college, Wilson has played professionally in the Indoor Football League for the Fairbanks Grizzlies, Nebraska Danger and most recently the Wichita Wild.

Chris Pugh hails from Silas, Alabama where he attended Southern Choctaw High School. After high School Pugh played defensive end for Coahoma Junior College in Clarkson, Mississippi. Pugh’s junior and senior seasons would be spent as a part of the Louisiana Tech football program where he played defensive end and outside linebacker. Pugh would lead Bulldogs in quarterback sacks and tackles for loss and would earn second team All-Conference in 2007. Pugh is currently a member of the United State Army and has played professionally the last two seasons with the Junction City Force.

Open tryouts for the Dance/Cheer team(8:30 am) and players(1:30 pm) will be held this Saturday, December 8th.

Pick-A-Seat promotion continues this week. Fans that buy season tickets before Saturday will be let in at 2:00 pm to watch player tryouts. For ticket information Call the Bicentennial Center Box Office at (785) 826-7200.
