hendrich_croppedReuben Edward Hendrich, 89, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 30th, at Eaglecrest Retirement Community.

Reuben was born in Lincoln County, Kansas on April 9, 1923, son of Joseph and Anna (Steenbock)  Hendrich.

He was a machinist at Philips Lighting, retiring in 1985. Reuben was a member of Salina Bible Church.

He was united in marriage to Ina Grace Cooper on July 19, 1946 in Dorrance, KS.  She survives.

Survivors include sons,  V. Leroy (Linda) Hendrich, Russell; Leslie (Sue) Hendrich, Camdenton, Missouri; daughters, Anel (Bob) Minneman, Tescott; Faith (Randall) Rud, Winona, Minnesota;  brothers, Leo (Peggy) Hendrich, Wichita; Robert (L’Nore) Hendrich, Pueblo West, Colorado; sisters, Dorothy (Eugene) Minor, Dallas, Texas; Beth McDonald, Lenexa; Mildred (Edward) Hlad, Sylvan Grove; Miriam (Tommy) Felts, Bossier City, Louisiana; Norma (Donald) Phillips, Prairie Village; Alice Dawson, Scotland; sister-in-law, Barbara Hendrich, Redmond, Oregon; grandchildren, Joey Hendrich, Bradley Hendrich, Amy Crocker, Chad Hendrich, Jill Minneman, Anna Wood, Gabriel Rud, Heather Voelker; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.

Preceded in death by brother, William Hendrich.

Visitation, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 9 AM – 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 5 PM – 7 PM at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina.

Funeral services will be held at the  Salina Bible Church, Salina, Kansas, 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013, Rev. Ronald E. David, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at the Wilson City Cemetery Wilson, Kansas.

Doris D. Grace, 87, Minneapolis, passed away on her 87th birthday, March 31, 2013, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born March 31, 1926 in Salina to Cecil and Hazel (Morgan) Allison.

Doris was united in marriage with Bobby E. Grace on August 27, 1948 in Plainville. To this union one daughter was born, Roberta. Doris worked for a long period of time for Dr. Homer Foutz and she then worked for many years at the Minneapolis Clinic for Drs. Wedel, Wedel, and Bray.

She loved her yard, flowers, gardening, crocheting, and quilting. Doris was also an avid collector of Roseville pottery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob on February 13, 1999.

Survivors include her daughter Roberta Stenfors and her husband Robert of Hutchinson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 4 at Wilson FamilyFuneral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center.

vet_ffffffJohn R. Dyck, 86, Minneapolis, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born October 28, 1926 in Harvey County to John J. and Mary (Dirks) Dyck.

John was an elementary and junior high principal in Ramona, Lehigh, Canton, and Minneapolis. He was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina and the V.F.W. Post #3201 and Noon Lions Club both of Minneapolis.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty; children Barbara Roths and her husband Glen, Sonia Cooper and her husband Brad; and Jerry Dick and his wife Gina; his sister Anna Marie Webb; and grandchildren Crystal Lamb and her husband Keith, Holly Cooper, Christian Dyck, and Elise Dyck. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 5 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. at the Lewis Cemetery, Ramona. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour, Golden Wheel Senior Center, or the Ottawa County Relay for Life.
