Renee-Nowlin-1422956949Renee Lynn (Blanchett) Nowlin, 53, passed away on January 30, 2015 at her home in Salina, Kansas. She was born December 16, 1961 in Meade, Kansas to Leo Blanchett and Sharlene (Smith) Gross.

Renee attended high school in Dodge City, Kansas and graduated from North Central Kansas Technical College with a degree in Computer and Data Processing and Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked many years as a CNA taking care of the elderly.

Renee was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and keeping in touch and visiting with family. She could often be found doing yard work and loved listening to music.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Nowlin) Erbert, husband Dexter and grandaughter Cambria of Salina Kansas; Step daughter, Brooke (Nowlin) Utley, husband Gary and their 4 children of Salina Kansas; father, Leo Blanchett and companion Georgia LaBarge of Damar Kansas; mother, Sharlene (Smith) Gross and husband Howard of Dodge City, Kansas; and 4 sisters: Charmane (Blanchett) Besperat and husband John of Timken, Kansas; Michele Blanchett of Mission, Kansas, Tammy (Blanchett) Marrs and husband Tim of Fowler, Kansas, and Kelli (Blanchett) Thiel and husband Mark of Hays, Kansas; 7 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial will be held for Renee at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity organization of your choice. Checks may be sent directly to the organization or to Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.

Edgar Jack Bremerman, 85, Minneapolis, died Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Jack was born March 16, 1929 in Ottawa County to Alva and Thelma (Zuker) Bremerman.

 

Jack was a 1947 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he attended Brown Mackie College for one year. He and Kerma Peters were united in marriage on January 3, 1954. Jack was a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the Rock City Board and the Noon Lions Club. He was also a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, Trustee, and a member of the choir.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife Kerma on May 22, 2011.

 

Survivors include his daughters Lee Ann DuVall and husband Michael of Franklin, TN and Susan Adkins and husband Max of Minneapolis; grandchildren Carter and Matthew Kline, Aubrey Nicholson, Chris DuVall, and Michelle DuVall; great-grandchildren Iris Ihloff Kline, Orris Ihloff Kline, Oz Ihloff Kline, Juni Ihloff Kline, and Bremer Kline; and his special friend Frances Drummond of Minneapolis.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 3, at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis with Pastor Michele McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock City or the First Presbyterian Church.

Alma A. Webb, 97, Sterling, AK (formerly of Beverly, KS) died Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Soldotna, AK.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 6 at the Monroe Cemetery, Beverly. There will be no visitation.

2964850_wlppIda Charlotte Boyle, 75, Ada, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born August 15, 1939. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Ahlquist, and husband, Robert Boyle. Survivors include her mother, Lola Ahlquist, brothers Charlie Ahlquist, Frank Ahlquist, and Alan Ahlquist; sisters, Rose Roush, Janice Tromble, Joy Nail, Alma Farr, and Thelma Vaughn; her son, Eric Boyle; and granddaughter Ava Boyle. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 21 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis, where she worked a 36 year career as a CNA assisting the elderly.
