Marymount College – A History

Life-long learning, laughter and lasting friendships are just a few of the gifts given over the years by Marymount College of Kansas. Join Dr. Patricia Ackerman as she shares stories and photos she discovered during the process of archival research and the writing of her book, Marymount College of Kansas: A History. Ackerman is an alumna of Salina Central High School, Marymount College and Kansas State University. She has taught language arts courses for KSU for the past 15 years. She’ll also be on hand after the presentation to sign copies of her book.
The Smoky Hill Museum is a nationally accredited history museum, in the heart of downtown Salina, Kansas. This FREE museum is openTuesdayFriday 12-6, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 1-5. Also, be sure to stop by the Museum Store for a wide variety of regional and Kansas products, local artwork and gifts for all ages.
