This week’s BANK VI Hero of the Week is Dr. Marshall Stanton.

Dr. Stanton was chosen because of his work with ShelterBox USA, an international relief organization that sends vital supplies into areas that have been devastated by disaster. The items received come in a box containing vital supplies including a tent, a stove, cooking utensils, water purifiers, blankets and tools.

With locations all over the world, ShelterBox USA is able to assist during political and natural disasters at a moments notice. Last year, they also offered assistance in Oklahoma when tornadoes destroyed some Oklahoma City neighborhoods.

Dr. Stanton is a former District Governor for Rotary International, the former President of Kansas Wesleyan University, and was the pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina for many years.
