More than $15,000 in property is taken in a vehicle burglary at a Salina motel between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Christopher Jackson of Wellsbury, West Virginia, said someone entered his unlocked Volvo while parked at the Quality Inn, 2110 W. Crawford.

Items taken include: platinum band ring with 1 karat diamond, valued at $10,000. A platinum Mokume Iron platinum ring, valued at $3,000. Also taken were a men’s watch, clothing, camping gear, luggage, backpack, and X-box game console.

Total loss is placed at $15.425.
