KANSAS CITY, MO (June 22, 2015) – The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Mariot from Triple-A Omaha and optioned right-handed pitcher Aaron Brooks to Omaha.

Mariot, 26, has made 22 appearances for the Storm Chasers this season, going 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA (10 ER in 28.1 IP) with eight walks, 33 strikeouts and a .227 opponents’ batting average.  This is his first stint with the Royals this season, after pitching in 17 games for the big league club in 2014.
