First responders were on the scene of a two vehicle accident just north of the intersection of Crawford Street and Santa Fe Avenue late Monday morning.

Early reports indicated that one driver may have suffered a medical emergency just prior to the accident, which occurred at around 10:30 a.m. One person was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Both southbound lanes of Santa Fe Avenue, from Crawford to Prescott, were closed to traffic while officials worked to clear the scene.
