Man Avoids Craigslist Scam

onlinescamA 36-year-old Salina man avoids being scammed on Craigslist.

On August 9th, the man received information about advertising a company on his vehicle in which he would be paid $400.

He responded to the ad and on Tuesday, received a UPS package from Prudential/Eloise Nader from Mokena, Illinois to advertise Medisys Employees.

In the package was a check for $1,500. Instructions were to keep $400 and the rest was to be used to pay an unnamed third party vendor to place the advertising.

The man became suspicious, and found out the check was fake. The company, Medisys, is a real company based in Jamaica, New York. They told the man they were not seeking to advertise in Salina.
