Chance for Showers and Thunderstorms

Screen Shot 2015-10-08 at 5.57.00 AMShowers and thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon in Central Kansas, then spread south over the remainder of the state this evening and overnight. The showers and storms may linger into the Friday morning along the Oklahoma border. Rainfall amounts will range from less than a quarter inch across northern Kansas, to between a quarter and half inch across the southern Kansas.

Today – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. South wind 7 to 13 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Tonight – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. North wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Friday – Sunny, with a high near 73. North wind 5 to 9 mph.

Friday Night – A chance of sprinkles after 1am. Mostly clear, with a low around 52. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming south after midnight.
