Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski is asking the public for help after a series of arson fires burnt 80-100 acres of pasture and hay bales early Sunday morning.

The fires were discovered early Sunday morning around 4 a.m. in southeast Saline County and into Dickinson County.

Kochanowski said loss in the Saline County Fires is placed at $1,000 for the round and square bales of hay lost. No other property was damaged.

Kochanowski asks that if anyone saw someone or something unusual in the area of the fires early Sunday morning, to contact the Saline County Sheriff’s Office at 785-826-6500.
