SALINA – One driver was injured in an accident just before 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Salina.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Daniel E. Shamhart, 42, Virginia, IL., was eastbound on Interstate 70 at 9th Street in Salina.

The pickup rear-ended a 1994 Chevy pickup driven by James Lawerence Hatfield, 71, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shamhart was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

Hatfield was not transported for treatment. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
