Salina Police are searching for a suspect in an assault that reportedly occurred at a motel Tuesday evening, and was reported Thursday afternoon.

A female in her late teens said a male suspect tried to strangle her and put a knife to her throat during a disturbance at a room at the Airliner Motel, 781 N. Broadway. The victim is acquainted with the suspect.

The incident occurred between 8 p.m. and 8:30p.m. Tuesday evening.
