A spool of welding wire was taken in the burglary of a storage building late Thursday afternoon.

The wire was in a building owned by LaVelle Frick at 1300 W. North, and was taken sometime between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. A garage door was forced open and siding was damaged to gain entry to the building.

Total loss and damage has been estimated at $700. The burglary is being investigated by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
