The public is cordially invited to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Salina’s regular Sunday service this Sunday, Feb. 21, at 10:30 a.m, 901 E Beatrice.
Michelle E. Armster, transitional executive director for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)/ Central States Region, based out of Bethel College, will share her work promoting racial and human equality. MCC’s recent focus has been on the effects of mass incarceration and perceptions of unfair law enforcement, not just for African-Americans and other peoples of color, but for all races and social groups.
The MCC, a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches, shares God’s love and compassion for all by responding to basic human needs. Salina’s Unitarian Universalist Fellowship offers Ms. Armster’s experiences in an attempt to explore faith-based mutual efforts for peace and justice.
