Salina police arrested a man Sunday for his involvement in a February 14th incident where he allegedly tried to get a 44-year-old man into the trunk of his own car, hit him with a gun, and stabbed him twice.
24-year-old Michael Georage was taken into custody by police when they were working on another case Sunday morning. Georage had talked the victim, Lonnie Martain, into giving him a ride to the Howard Johnson Motel, 222 E. Diamond.
Georage talked Martain into getting out of his car and then pulled a gun and told him to get into the trunk. Martain ran, and Georage caught him, knocked him down to the ground twice, stabbed him in both thighs and broke his nose. Martain then was able to get into the motel lobby and seek help.
Georage was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault , aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and battery.
