Salina Crime Report – February 29th

1-16 crime report 2The Saline County Sheriff’s Office has taken a report of a stolen wood burning stove. The “King” wood stove was taken from a Morton building in the 5100 block of N. Hohneck Road, sometime between Saturday and Sunday mornings. The building was unlocked. It is owned by Shane Schneider. Total loss in the case has been placed at $900.

Several power tools and hand tools were taken in the burglary of a house which was being remodeled sometime between Saturday and Sunday. Thomas Wikoff of Brookville reported to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office that several drills, air nailers, saws, a screw gun and hand tools were taken from 1940 S. Lightville Road. Total loss is estimated at $3,700.

A 60″ flat screen TV was taken in a theft Saturday evening. Chad Bishop tells police the RCA LED TV was taken from his home in the 600 block of S. 9th sometime between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Total loss in the case has been placed at $1,100.

A man tells police someone stole his golf clubs. Robert Phalen said the Catalina golf bag with clubs and other golf equipment were taken from the back of his Jeep Wrangler between February 6th and February 27th from an unknown location. Total loss is estimated at $1,000.

A man making a pizza delivery Sunday evening had his car stolen while making a delivery. Noe Ovalle made a delivery of a pizza at the Airliner Motel, 781 N. Broadway, around 8:50 p.m. when his 2006 Chevy Colbalt was stolen. The vehicle had been left running. It was found about a block away. Stolen from the car was a Samsung Galaxy S5 cellular phone and a $20 key chain.
