A Salina woman in is custody, facing charges in connection with the theft of a truck.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 24-year-old Kaylee Evans was arrested early Thursday morning in the 900 block of N. 10th.

Evans allegedly took a 1999 Dodge Dakota owned by Judy Campbell of Kingman from the 200 block of N. Oakdale, sometime between midnight and 12:43 a.m. August 23rd, after somehow getting the keys from inside the residence the vehicle was parked in front of.

Sweeney said the truck was located behind a home in the 700 block of E. Iron on Tuesday.

Evans, who was set to be featured in this month’s edition of the Salina’s Most Wanted list, was booked into jail on requested charges of possession of stolen property and criminal deprivation of property.
