SES Volleyball Splits at Minneapolis

TROJANThe Southeast of Saline Lady Trojans varsity volleyball team split in their matchup with Minneapolis on Tuesday.

Southeast lost the first match 25-23, 23-25, and 18-25 and won the second match 14-25, 25-19 and 25-18.

Leading contributors for the Lady Trojans were:

  • Morgan Thaxton: 18 kills, 3 solos blocks, 1 assisted block
  • Kendall Schlesener: 10 kills, 28 set assists, 5 aces, 2 solo, 1 assisted blocks.
  • Kallie Albrecht: 12 digs, 1 ace.
  • Karis Calahan: 6 kills, 2 aces, 14 digs.
  • Taylor Wells: 14 kills, 3 aces, 14 digs, 1 solo block, 1 assisted block.
  • Kylee Thaxton: 10 kills, 2 solos, 1 assisted block.
  • Carter Brull: 21 set assists, 4 aces, 11 digs.

Southeast of Saline is now 7-6 overall and 4-2 in league play.

In junior varsity action, Southeast lost both contests to Minneapolis, 10-25 and 25-27 in the first match, and 19-25 and 11-25 in the second match.

The Lady Trojans C-Team also lost their contest to the Lady Lions, 25-13, 16-25, and 10-15.

Southeast will next travel to Salina to take part in the Sacred Heart Quad on Thursday with matches beginning at 5 p.m.
