Police are investigating the robbery of an east Salina convenience store late Sunday night.

Captain Chris Trocheck said a female clerk at Kwik Shop, 657 Fairdale, was mopping inside the store at about 11 p.m., when a man armed with a gun entered the store, demanded money, and was given an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect left the store on foot and ran south toward the apartment complexes in the 2100 block of E. Crawford.

He was wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, and a white face mask, according to Trocheck.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
