Salina Crime Report – October 26, 2016

crime cuffsA stolen vehicle and two damage to property cases highlight today’s crime report.

Police say someone stole a vehicle from Abner’s Auto, 212 E. Iron, sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. A red 2002 Ford Windstar with Kansas dealer’s license plate D2735E was taken off the lot of the business. It was not known if the keys were in the van, which has been valued at $800.

Renee Thurman, 18, tells police that someone caused numerous scrapes and dents to her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle was damaged sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday while it was parked in the 100 block of W. Kirwin. Total damage has been estimated at $600.

Police say someone damaged a vehicle parked at a home in the 1200 block of E. Wayne. Valerie Stewart, 35, discovered 20-inch spider web type cracks in the windshield of her 2005 Nissan Maxima. The damage, which occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, has been estimated at $500.
