Salina Police are investigating a forgery case stemming from early August.

Police Capt. Mike Sweeney said that a check that was stolen from Overland Property Group, 204 S. Santa Fe, was cashed at Bennington State Bank. The suspect filled in the blank check for $784.41, cashing it on August 9.

The incident was reported yesterday and police are currently investigating.
