Students, school staff, and members of the community came together Wednesday at Salina Central high school for a 17-minute walkout that took place at 10 a.m on the Salina Central campus. The seventeen minutes represented the victims of the Parkland, Florida High School shooting. It was one month today since a shooter walked into the high school and killed 17 students, teachers, and staff and injuring at least 14.
Salina Central High senior Carolyn Gutsch was behind the planning of the event.
