On Monday, police were called to the 800 block of Sheridan to investigate property damage.

Thomas Platten, the owner of the residence reported that sometime between May 1-7, his son had destroyed the home that he had been living in.

The front door and frame had been ripped off, sheetrock was torn off the walls and ceiling, several windows were broken, and there was water damage. The loss is estimated at $15,000.

Captain Paul Forrester told The Salina Post that Benjamin Platten, 25, is facing a possible charge of felony damage to property.
