MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Athletics is heading to a town near you as the department kicks off the 2018 Catbacker Tour of the state of Kansas Monday in Dodge City.
The department will make a total of 22 stops and travel more than 8,000 miles between May 14 and June 15 as representatives from department make visits to K-State fans across the state.
The tour, which will focus on providing affordable family fun for all ages, begins with consecutive stops in Dodge City, Garden City, Scott City, Colby and Hays over five days beginning Monday before wrapping up June with an event in Manhattan.
This summer’s tour will be the second straight to focus on a “carnival” and “gameday” experience which will include inflatables, tailgate games and other entertainment options for Wildcats of all ages. In addition, kids in attendance at each stop will receive a drawstring bag full of K-State goodies.
Exclusive ticket packages will again be available on this year’s tour, including the Cat Pack, the Pick 5 Plan, and discounted Texas Tech football tickets. For only $15, the Cat Pack includes one (1) ticket to a home baseball, soccer, volleyball, and women’s basketball game (1 ticket per sport). Fans will also receive a limited edition throwback Willie bobblehead (while supplies last). The Men’s Basketball Pick 5 Plan is also available for $50 and includes five (5) vouchers that can be redeemed for five (5) tickets to any game of your choice (excluding KU). Fans can choose to attend five (5) different games or bring four friends to one (1) game. Lastly, a limited supply of $25 general admission tickets will be made available for the Saturday, November 17 football game vs. Texas Tech.
