Salina woman allegedly threatens man with knife

On Monday evening at 6:44, police responded to a report of a suicidal/ homicidal subject at the 800 block of Hancock Ave.

Captain Paul Forrester told The Salina Post that a former couple got into a dispute over property and it turned into violent threats. Kassidee Whelan,20, of Salina allegedly threatened to stab and kill Jantz Johnson-Viera, 19, of Salina with a knife.

According to Forrester, Whelan was arrested and is facing a possible charge of aggravated assault and she also had an outstanding warrant.

Johnson-Viera was arrested and is facing possible charges of disorderly conduct and battery for an event that happened on the 13th. He took Whelan’s car to pick up a female acquaintance and when he returned the vehicle Whelan told him to leave and he allegedly grabbed her hair and backhanded her four times.
