Injury accident at 12th & Ash

On Monday afternoon at 2:35, a two-vehicle accident occurred at 12th st. and Ash. Captain Paul Forrester told The Salina Post that a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan driven by Shaleah Carmichael, 33, of Salina was stopped at a stop sign and was facing south on 12th St. Carmichael pulled into the intersection and hit a 2002 Honda Accord heading eastbound driven by Jordan Bender, 27, of Salina.

Jordan Bender had two female passengers in her vehicle ages 8 and 10. Bender and her passengers stated that they were in pain and were transported to the hospital by EMS.

According to Forrester, Carmichael was cited for no proof of insurance and stop sign violation.

Both vehicles sustained damage and had to be towed.
