MITCHELL, South Dakota – The Swedes women’s soccer team continued their success on the road Saturday as they picked up another shutout victory over Dakota Wesleyan. Bethany grabbed a 2-0 win to move to 3-0-1 on the season.

Despite both teams having a very offensively active first half, neither would find the net in the first 45 minutes of the game. The Swedes however, broke this drought 20 minutes into the second half when Kastel Heinold, sophomore forward, put one in the goal off of a pass from MacKenzie Callison, junior midfielder. Callison then scored her own unassisted goal 15 minutes later to give the Swedes a comfortable lead going into the final minutes of the game.

The Details
As a team, the Swedes put up six shots, two of which were on target, both finding the back of the net.

Defensively, the Swedes posted their second shutout of the season with Jordan Wells, sophomore keeper, getting her first win in the net for the Swedes. Wells snagged two saves in her 90 minutes of play.

Up Next
The Swedes finally host their first home contest on Wednesday, where they take on the College of Saint Mary Flames at 7 p.m.
