Wet Labor Day brings significant rainfall to Salina, the region

SALINE COUNTY—The Labor Day weekend storm provided another round of significant rainfall to Saline County and central Kansas. Residents in Salina and most of Saline County reported an additional inch of moisture over the past 24 hours.

Similar amounts were reported in Ellsworth and Dickinson County, according to the National Weather Service. Most of McPherson County reported .50-.87 inches of rainfall.

There is a 70 percent chance for more rain Tuesday and 60 percent Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service. A chance of rain is in the forecast through Saturday.
